Operations Manager

My role as the Operations Manager provides me the opportunity to be involved in a variety of work within the foundation. From coordinating and supporting functions of the foundation board and committees, human resources oversight, business and bookkeeping administration, to working with our site manager budgeting and prioritizing infrastructure projects. Every day is busy and different, and I like that.

I grew up in a rural community in Wisconsin where my siblings and I all worked in a small business my parents owned and operated.  This experience guided my education and work experiences. Nothing felt just right until I landed here at the Aldo Leopold Foundation in 2006. My adventure with the foundation started in membership and development and through the years let the needs of the foundation guide where my strengths and work were needed, and most recently becoming certified as a Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) to support my new business and bookkeeping responsibilities.

It’s inspiring to see how the foundation has continued to grow through the years. The foundation’s reach, and that of a land ethic, has stretched far and wide and continues to do so every day. Thanks to our many supporters and partners! It’s an honor to be a part of all that is happening here.
