As the Land Ethic Manager, I facilitate opportunities for The Aldo Leopold Foundation and partners to leverage the Leopold legacy and grow an ethic of care for people and places.
I bring to the Leopold community 20+ years of experience in philanthropy and population health. I earned a BA in Journalism from UW-Madison with an emphasis on environmental studies and an MPA from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy.
I am a lifelong learner, and my hobbies include caring for native plants and volunteering for the Wisconsin Extension Master Gardener Program. Carrie’s interest in the stewarding of gardens is an extension of my childhood spent on a dairy farm in Southern Wisconsin. In the words of Leopold, I aim to help “to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community.”
