The organizers of the early June Gila Wilderness celebration in Silver City, New Mexico, received this warm, congratulatory letter from President Biden. It gave us all a real thrill. Reminded us of the letter Leopold himself received from ex-president Theodore Roosevelt congratulating him for his game-preservation work in New Mexico at the time.
It's great to know Leopold's land ethic is trickling up to the highest political levels yet today!
