Nature needs YOUR land ethic!

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, but spent my past four years studying Environmental Studies and Film at Augustana College! I have always enjoyed being creative in a variety of ways (filmmaking, graphic design, writing, even just making crafts), but it wasn't until recently that I realized my passion lies in using that creativity to promote environmental conservation. In learning more about Aldo Leopold, I found myself heavily aligning with his view of the land as a community to which we belong, and I hope to help more people find that sense of belonging within nature.
Outside of that, I really enjoy finding new recipes to bake and being active. While at Augustana, I was a sprinter on the Track and Field team, so I am looking forward to finding new ways to stay active now that I am no longer competing. I also love listening to (a pretty random assortment of) music and doing a little bit of birdwatching anytime I'm outside (or near a window).
Overall, I am super excited to connect with the land and to learn and grow in my time at ALF!
