Terry Bolz

Terry is the retired CEO of a local provider owned health plan. He was involved in the business of health care financing throughout his forty plus year insurance career. He is a strong advocate for leadership development, team building, diversity and inclusion as an important component for managing organizations and exceeding the expectations of customers. The health plan grew both organically in the market and through mergers of like-minded provider owned plans. He has worked with diverse boards and in complex business models.

Terry spends much of his time during retirement on property in the Driftless region of western Wisconsin. He has worked with both private and DNR foresters to create a long-term plan for the property. A local family dairy farmer has taught him about the benefits of no-till farming and erosion control on the hills of western Wisconsin. Terry’s projects on the property include invasive species control, planting of trees and restoration of grass lands and prairie.

As a life-long resident of Wisconsin, Terry was fortunateto grow up with a father who regularly took him into the great outdoors, including on fishing and hunting trips. As a youth, his father took him to see and experience the outdoors that Aldo Leopold wrote about during his lifetime, with one of the simple goals in life being to Enjoy the Moment.

Terry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin. He has previously served on the Board of Directors on the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans.

Terry is married to Anne Rosin Bolz. Anne and Terry spend time together in western Wisconsin enjoying the birds, wildlife and beauty of the Driftless region. They regularly travel to learn and experience the history, culture and beauty of different areas of the world. They have five children and seven grandchildren. They live full-time with two dogs, in Madison, WI.
